About Harvest Christian School

Our Mission

To assist parents by providing a Biblically-based education for their children that pursues spiritual and academic excellence within a wholesome, structured, fun and safe environment, for the purpose of preparing them for the future.

There are several things about Harvest Christian School that you should know.

First of all, our staff members have a heart for Christian education and are committed in striving to train young people in the principles of Christian leadership, Godly character, self-discipline, individual responsibility, personal integrity, and good citizenship. Included in our daily routine are Bible verses, stories, songs, and prayer. We have a wonderful time sharing God’s Word in chapel service every Wednesday morning as well.

Second of all, we use the A Beka Book Curriculum in our classes. A Beka Book Curriculum is dedicated to providing a quality education. Families with special needs will be assessed to ensure adequate accommodations can be provided.

Our Philosophy On Traditional Education

Here at Harvest, we believe in the traditional educational method. Why? Because it works! Yes, in the upper grades, the work will be challenging, but it is our goal to make sure that your child is well prepared for the the future. As well, the foundation for all that we do is based on the Bible. It is important to note, that we believe that the character development, that your child is taught here at Harvest, is founded upon the Word of God. We have a passion and a love for children. And we want to do all that we can to help you help your child succeed! It is our goal to aid and support the Christian parents with the academic, moral and spiritual education of their children.

I choose to send my child to Harvest for quite a few reasons; the first being her safety and the hours that work for our family. The teachers are also a big reason to have my child attend Harvest, especially with the passion the teachers have for their work with our children, as well as their compassion and empathy with not only the kids but their families. I send my child to Harvest because the classes are smaller in size, they have more room to have one on one time with their teachers.

When we signed her up for Pre-3 just two short years ago, we knew we were
getting the best care we could for our her at that time. We naturally kept
her in what became a familiar surrounding and have continued her into
Kindergarten. What we didn’t fully realize was how many incredible things
were to come. Some of the things I was amazed by Harvest were the classroom
sizes, the amazingly involved teachers, the structure of education, how you
teach the children Spanish, to play the piano, singing Christian music, sign
language, bible study, prayer, chapel, family lunch day, you teach the kids
manners, there is no bulling and now you even have a brand new playground…
SO MANY incredible things that are second to none.

We have chosen to keep our daughter in this school because it is the best
thing for her. The tuition will no longer even be a subject for us, it is a
must. When we really take a look at the public school system we see all the
budget cuts, the many shootings, lack of security, how teachers are spread
so thin and there is no personal touch. Then, we think about how there is no
mention of God , there is no prayer, there is no Christian flag, no
one-on-one, they do not celebrate many things… you are not even allowed to
bake treats for the classrooms anymore.

We have to protect our children and give them the best things in life we
can. For us, we can also give them Harvest Christian!
